The Step by Step How To Prepare At Home For Ibogaine Treatment Guide
It is of the utmost importance that you read the following information carefully and in its entirety!
Intention and Awareness:
Ibogaine is an herbal supplement with psychoactive properties that can cause great physical and psychological alterations. While it is primarily used to reduce or remove cravings and other withdrawal symptoms in patients suffering from addictions, it can create a profound and potentially life-changing experience in anyone. To maximize the benefits of this transformative experience, you will need to spend time grounding and centering yourself. What this means differs for everyone, but most people find that personal activities such as yoga, meditation, writing, exercise, or other similar activities are the best way to prepare for Ibogaine treatment. Having some time to reflect on your emotions and thoughts can greatly increase the efficacy of the treatment, as well as ease your reintegration into society.
The most important thing to remember is not to expect your Ibogaine therapy to solve all of your problems. It is a very effective treatment, both physically and mentally, and will drastically reduce or completely remove your withdrawal symptoms – but it is not a miracle cure. Think of it instead as a tool, or as the doorknob that you need to turn before you can step through that door and take hold of your new lease on life.
An Ibogaine treatment will give you all of the tools that you need to empower yourself. Take a good look at your life and your expectations, and find out what is missing. Those missing pieces, those psychological needs, are what must be addressed in order for you to get the most out of your therapy. Take your time and remember that healing will take time.
Like many rehabilitative treatments, the Ibogaine experience is only as effective as you want it to be. You need to be dedicated to long term healing and change, based on the insights that you gain from the transformative therapy. Spend some time considering what you want to get out of your therapy, and create some goals to keep you on your path.
A strong support structure and access to helpful resources can increase your chance for long term success. The road that you walk is not an easy one. To stay true to your goal of healing and recovery, you will need to find great caches of focus and willpower within yourself. Your Ibogaine therapy can show you the door to your success, but it’s up to you to step through it.
Important Note: If you are a woman between the ages of 18 and 50 and have not experienced menopause, you must make sure that you are not pregnant. No studies have been done on the effect of Ibogaine therapies on pregnant women, so the effects, if any, on the fetus are unknown.
Preparation One: For One Week Before Your Treatment…
Daily, take a balanced multivitamin and mineral complex. Male patients do not need to take a multivitamin that is supplemented with iron. Add to this 500 mg of magnesium, preferably magnesium citrate or another similar form. Do not take magnesium oxide unless there is no other option. This will help to protect your heart, balance your body’s electrolyte levels, and smooth muscle tissue.
A mostly vegetarian diet should be observed during the week before treatment. Eat properly portioned sizes of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and small portions of lean meats or fish.
Greasy foods, foods that have been heavily processed, and fatty foods should be avoided at all costs. You should also try to avoid excess sodium, caffeine, junk food, and sugar, as well as grapefruit and quinine, the latter of which is an ingredient in tonic water.
Make sure to drink at least 2 liters of water every day, and pay attention to your electrolytes. Drinks like Gatorade, Powerade, Emergen-C, and coconut water are good for replenishing your electrolytes (though some of these contain sugar). These should be drunk in the week leading up to your therapy.
CLIENTS WITH SUBSTANCE DEPENDENCIES:
Many people ask if it’s necessary to cut back or stop taking substances before arriving. While many facilities recommend this, it is not our practice to suggest this. Our treatment is designed to carefully assess and prepare a personal protocol for every client that helps AVOID withdrawal.
In short, we prefer when individuals arrive while not suffering withdrawal, so we are able to truly help them, get to know them, and create a tailored plan to avoid the negative effects of withdrawal, ensuring a positive experience and a much greater level of success.

Where do I begin? I’m not sure how I ever thought this could really happen. I feel so much better and alive for the first time in years. The treatment team was absolutely wonderful. I have been trying to get off Lortab for years and now I’m free. Now that I am clean I can now be available to my family and kids. I am so grateful to HT and I thank my Higher Power for another chance to be me again.
